Beautiful greenway lined with trees and native plants. There's enough space for two lanes of pedestrians or cyclists to travel through. Just about everyone is friendly and greets each other as we pass.
I'm surprised at how clean and quiet it is. The volunteer teams are doing a fantastic job! Let's hope it stays this way for all time.
Love the new Cypress trees that were planted. The air smells amazing after the rain here. You can smell the aroma of the trees and the smell of the earth.
The native wildflower patches are lovely too and will be beneficial for increasing the biodiversity of the region.
I'm happy that this place exists. I was working on creating something similar in Queens once upon a time. I also love all of the signage, even the one showing you where you are along...

Also, horse riders are often taking over the walkway and also allowing their horses to defecate at will. This is totally inappropriate and very unsanitary. Overall, the Greenway experience is mixed and could be...

There are numerous playgrounds with exercise equipment, baseball, football, basketball and soccer fields. Even tire pumps for bicycles and tennis courts. This is the original route of the Old Basin Street Canal, from the 1700’s, reclaimed...
