This is such a fantastic home to visit! The gardens are gorgeous and so well maintained, and the house itself it just beautiful. Our guide was so knowledgeable and funny, and ready to answer questions. You get to see several rooms of the home, and the ones you can't see are explained to you. It has amazing architectural details, and the gardens are meticulously organized. It was also fascinating to learn so much about the family who owned the home and all the equitable and impactful charity work they did. This was such a gem of a spot to visit, and we spend time sitting in the chairs along the oak-lined walk, which was just stunning.

We chose Longue Vue as the venue for our outdoor wedding ceremony in May, and it exceeded every expectation we had! The ceremony was outside on the lawn with the main house in the background, which was beautiful. The grounds were filled with flowers so we didn’t have to spend more money to decorate. The only small thing we had to consider was that the parking lot was a bit on the small side, so we recommended that our guests use rideshare services. However, the overall experience was amazing and we are so lucky to have found such a beautiful venue in New Orleans.

Absolutely beautiful place! The grounds are very well maintained, the staff are all very friendly! The beverages and baked goods from the cafe were delicious (Allen was wonderful making mine and my friend's drinks for us). The tour through the home was great! Sharon, our tour guide was lovely and was incredibly knowledgable about the home and the property. The Longue Vue (pronounced Long View) House and Gardens is a hidden gem that is VERY worth visiting. The energy all around the property is peaceful, serene, and all around pleasant to say the least!

Julia was an excellent tour guide! I enjoyed the tour of the home and gardens immensely. I think I'm now as much in love with camellias as Edith Sterne! The plants were all so mature and well tended, you could tell they've been nurtured and taken care of. It was great seeing an historical home built more recently. I appreciate that the Sterne's wanted to build a home in the local architectural styles so visitors could see it in a more preserved state, as the older homes in the area once were. Thank you so much for sharing this home with the public!

Be in New Orleans my friend recommended me this beautiful place. That was very good choice to go for Longue Vue House & Gardens. Hous was so beautiful inside. The family who lived in this house left everything, so it is now a museum and you can see, watch and admire there exactly the same. Tour was very interesting with rich history. I do also enjoy amazing gardens what is good condition and well maintained. Everyone was so nice , very helpful and knowing history this house. Definitely I do recommend to see this place 👌 👌

Visited on 9/6/22 with a group of 9 woman. House was very nice and interesting and gardens were beautiful. Would love to come back in the spring when flowers were in bloom. Would give 5 stars but gentlemen tour guide seemed a bit rude and seemed put out when anyone asked a question. However, the Staff at the visitors office /gift shop and the little Cafe were very friendly, informative and polite. Would recommend for adults & families, although younger children may get bored.
