Southside Community Park — Attraction in New Philadelphia

This park (the park side, not the play field side) is freshly developed and is set with 2 beautiful bathroom buildings. In the summer the water fountain in the dog enclosure works perfectly to keep your dog hydrated. It can get a bit muddy (typically after a good rain), so bringing a towel to clean off your dog after they play is a good idea. The enclosure is our favorite because our dog is so social. But this park also has a very well tended sets of paths through the woods. The encoaure has 2 sides. 1 for small dogs, and one for large dogs. We don't feel comfortable letting our dogs run free in the fenced in area. Just like people, some dogs just don't get along. I wish the area for the larger dogs was sectioned off into three parts rather than just one huge area. We like to walk the trail across the road by the restrooms, but we had to leave last time because someone was letting their dog run all over the place. There needs to be an "All Dogs Must Be on a Leash" law enforced for...
