The Lodge of New Russia Township — Attraction in New Russia Township

My review is specifically for menu options at The Lodge. I recently attended a wedding, and was given an option to RSVP for a vegan meal, which I did. While the other guests enjoyed a buffet of 2 meats, bread, salad, etc., I was told that my meal would be plated and brought out to me.

What I received was, no joke, 3 cups of steamed mixed vegetables from a frozen bag. Just vegetables. No sauce, no seasoning -- my "vegan meal" was not even salted. I ate the entire plate. By the time I got up to see what was left at the buffet, there was some salad, 1 roll (I let the pregnant bartender behind me in line have it), and... that was it.

Dear Russia Township, this is not how to serve a vegan meal. In the future, at least provide a salt shaker with your bag of veg meal. Perhaps offer a vegetarian meal, which would open up the cuisine to the mashed potatoes, bread and butter, and maybe a special vegetarian main, like Mrs. T pierogies....

The hall is aboustely beautiful! Definitely worth the money. The only bad thing we experienced, is the being told more than one thing about prices for getting in the hall early. I wanted to thank everyone who assisted with the coordination of Andrew Velky’s reception after the service. This facility was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful place to hold any event. Everything we needed was on-site. Scheduling the event was simple and the people involved were fantastic. ...
