Two Trees Island — Attraction in New York

A hidden gem in the Bronx. You really feel like you’re out of the city even though it’s right inside of the Bronx.

I’ve seen people dressed in camo with Safari hats on while out on a birdwatching mission, but mostly the trails aren’t too packed and you can feel like you’re in a natural oasis…a temporary escape from the busy pace just 5 minutes away.

Is a great place to maintain a connection with nature or go to clear your head if you need to get away from for an hour or so....

I like it out here. There's a short simple trail that will take you out to the "Island." It's not really an island, more of a peninsula, though it does get a little tougher to access during high tide.

It'll be buggy in the summer and the amount of trash makes me sad, but...

Such a pretty trail accessible from Orchard Beach. Absolutely amazing for birding and you can see Italian wall lizards if you know how to look. We are lucky to live in an urban area and have access to nature...
