Thinking About DeVry? Don’t. It’s a Trap in a Suit and Tie 🎓🚫💸
They’ll call it flexible. They’ll call it career-focused. They’ll promise you a shortcut to success. But DeVry University is just a polished version of the same old scam—one that’s cost thousands of students their time, money, and momentum.
DeVry Doesn’t Invest in You—It Profits Off You 💳🧾
DeVry is a for-profit school. That means you're not a student—you're a customer. They don’t care if you succeed. They care if you enroll, pay, and keep paying. Their entire business model depends on keeping you in class and in debt, not out in the world doing great things.
You’re Not Getting Ahead—You’re Getting Delayed 🐌⏳
They’ll pitch you “career-ready” programs, but reality check: most DeVry grads are stuck with massive student loans and degrees employers barely recognize. You could spend years grinding away at online modules and still end up with zero leverage in the real world.
DeVry Got Sued for Lying 📉⚖️
Yep. The U.S. government sued DeVry for misleading students about job placement rates and salaries. Translation: they exaggerated your chances of “making it” so you’d sign up and take on debt. They’ve literally been caught selling false hope.
It’s Not Flexible—It’s Just Isolated 🧍♂️💻
“Online convenience” sounds great until you realize you’re sitting alone at a computer doing outdated coursework, getting no real mentorship, and burning through your best years while being told, “You’re doing great!” by an automated system.
Real Skills Aren’t Taught There 🤖📚
Want to learn digital marketing? AI? Sales? Copywriting? You won’t find those at DeVry. Not in a way that matters. Meanwhile, ChatGPT and free YouTube courses are out here teaching people real, high-value skills—for free.
Time Wasted Is Creativity Lost 🎨⛓️
DeVry keeps you stuck in homework mode. Your ideas, your hunger, your energy? All poured into dry assignments and a paper chase. You’re not creating, launching, or growing—you’re just stuck in academic autopilot.
You Deserve More Than a For-Profit Pipeline 🧠🚀
You’re not some data point in a quarterly revenue report. You’re a builder. A creator. A future entrepreneur, artist, innovator—whatever you want to be. But you don’t need DeVry’s “certificate of approval” to become it.
Final Message: DeVry Doesn’t Liberate You. It Chains You. 🔗❌
If you really want to change your life, skip the fake structure. Skip the polished pitch. Skip the debt. Start building now. Learn online. Start something real. Take your energy and invest it in you—not in DeVry’s bottom line.
You don’t need DeVry. You don’t need “job placement rates.” You don’t need another empty promise.
You need vision. You need freedom. You need the courage to start now—on...
Read moreIf your going to be living in the dorms get ready for the outrageous cost for room and bored and not to mention half the people that live there dont even attend the school. The dorms house mostly junkies and social awkward nerds that have never even touched let alone interacted with an attractive female. If you enjoy talking to people and being outside this is not the place for you. Not to mention the classes are expensive as well and teach you virtually nothing and any class that would you just go to a computer lab to do on your own which defeats the purpose of being on a so called campus. Big cash grab, save your money and attend any community college and transfer out if that is what your looking for. If not expect these crusty smelly dorms with minimal upkeep and less then helpful staff around and almost 90% of the population is Male zit popping anti social druggy weirdos that some how still think there better then other people when they couldn't get into a real college. Just heed my warning look...
Read moreI've been to the previous Newark campus and the current campus and I have to say, it was a total upgrade! The campus may be compact but with the aesthetic and feel of a modern tech company. Classrooms are modern and even contain modern technology to connect to other DeVry campuses for a single class.
The professors here definitely know their curriculum frontwards and back and make sure that each student is able to understand it properly, providing any assistance for any problem a student may come across.
The staff there is always courteous and helpful when helping students or visitors, providing them with information or resources to answer any questions with regards to enrollment and class information. They'll always offer you any refreshments if you're waiting for an appointment which is a nice touch to any...
