Get your SUP or kayak for a mile long tranquil trip up the river. Make sure to take the back channel of the Willamette, to the right from the Ash Island, when going upstream, otherwise you would have to "compete" with noisy motor boats. The back channel is a wonderful place where one can be in peace with nature. It will take you about a couple of hours to SUP from the Rodgers Landing to the North side of the Ash Island and back. Another alternative is to take the main channel down the river and go all the way to the Shampoeg park Landing. It will take on average about two hours to get there by SUP, but it is more of a workout and it is not as serene as going up in the back channel.

Not too busy on a Saturday evening in August. Place for swimming and launching kayak and canoe down by the East side of the parking. Ash island is pretty close. Takes less than an hour to get to the island with first time child paddlers. We ran out of sunlight so didn't go all the way around the island, just touched down on its closest end.

Rogers Landing has been a location for two of my portrait sessions. One a surprise proposal and the other a pug that was a part of our PUGGIN PORTLAND book. Lots of parking, portable restrooms, and picnic tables. If you have season allergies, the tree pollen can be pretty extreme in June.

Pretty great. Great boat launch and good small shore to take kayaks and inner tubes to on the other side of the park, next to the ramp up the hill. Usually a lot of parking and there is an okay amount of pokemon that spawn in Pokemon go here. Every year on memorial Day weekend the boat races happen, it's fun to go check out. If you go kayaking up stream from here, not to far up there is some nice little stream and the right side of the island is usually pretty quiet. Boating around here is pretty good too. once there was a foot found in a bag here but that was only once and really isn't important, I just wanted to add that because it's extremely interesting that it happened, I'm not really too sure about the rest of that story. I've never gone fishing to close to the boat ramp so I don't know anything about how that is. I hope they continue to develop the landing, but they absolutely need to keep what is there intact, it works great as is and they don't need to do much to fix it. I think there are plans to extend the park which I'd be happy with, the boat ramp has been in decline over the years so I hope they make it popular again, I don't want to see the fading history of this place left abandoned. At least I feel it's fading because I remember it being more than what it is now, but maybe that's just me, I'm not too...

Horrible! Registered, for overnight parking, was surrounded by cops, 4 police cars, because I was in the park, after 8pm! Apparently, there is nothing better for the police to do than harass kids for smoking weed in a parking lot at a isolated river boat launch where there was 200 available parking spots because I was the only one there! Never got a response for my overnight parking request. Go figure! But they let me leave at thier demand that I vacate the premise. Nice cops! Didn't beat me up or assault me in any way unfortunately, the female cop was...
