Ugh. Stoller is hands down one of my favorite wineries. Wine is amazing. Location is amazing. Family and event friendly. Normally… I was a member for 5 years before I moved. We had three other members with us today. We went with 12 ladies during our annual wine tasting weekend. We were seated in the Legacy room, it was freezing. Like, uncomfortable, the AC was turned up way too high. We had emailed ahead of time and reserved a special table, for our special event, and told that with our memberships we’d have free tastings. The woman serving us, older, “blond” short hair, told us that we could have 8 tastings. Okay… she did not introduce herself. She didn’t tell us ANYTHING about the wine, other than their titles, the entire time. She was disrespectful, and she was unbelievably slow. We had to ask for the next tasting twice. Every glass empty. At one point I cleared our plates and asked the front desk gal if she had a book or handout that explained the wines, that we could read along with while doing our tasting, as we’d had no explanations. Our server arrived a few minutes later with a menu, which she put in front of me, almost on top of my menu… I told her I already had one, but that I wanted to know what we were tasting. What block the wine came from, literally anything about the wine. She said as she poured, the exact four word title of the wine and then said “it’s a bright fruit” then moved on to pour the next glass, she also very obviously unevenly poured all our tasting portions. Started with the same girls each time and as she poured got lighter and lighter so that our last 2-3 girls received HALF the tiny pour she was giving. Like a sip, hardly. We do tastings often, I don’t expect a huge pour, but at least a few sips to actually taste the wine... At the end of the first pour she looked at the bottle and said “oh, I can make it work” and I’m not kidding the size of the pour was DROPS. Honestly the taster we had at our welcome glass was more than each pour. Why?!?? Two of us went in wanting to sign up for memberships again. Knowing I love the Chard (it’s amazing) that i would be buying multiple bottles. Instead we opted to close our tab, not renew our memberships and go to the other open bar area and buy bottles/glasses of what we wanted from the other servers. Just to avoid her negativity. It was a horrible experience. Such a bummer as it still is one of my favorite spots. She put a salty taste on literally everything. Horrid experience and really ruined our what was going to be a wonderful day. We opted to spend the longest time and stay for lunch at Stoller because of previous experiences. Such a bummer. I still recommend highly all of their wines, but just go with normal seating and pray to high heavens you don’t have this server… :( we will stay Bend only members. I hope the owners/managers read this. Shes a dark cloud on an otherwise bright and...

There are three houses right smack on the Stoller Vineyard Property that have been fully renovated. We Stayed in the Estate house which sleeps six with three nice size bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is a nice kitchen, a formal dinning room and a huge family/great room. What a perfect place to home base for wine tasting or just soaking in the beauty of the vineyards. If you spilled a little wine on the shirt during the days tasting, a well equipped laundry room awaits. ||If you have not been to Stoller, the location is stunning and the views from the Estate House are tranquil. Betsy Hanaford, from Stoller was our contact and she was more than accommodating and efficient providing all of the details for a perfect stay. We checked in and out from the Tasting Room and it could not have been any more simple||The small little unexpected things were nice touches to our stay and our arrival...a bag of fresh ground coffee on the kitchen counter, creamer in the fridge, a little cheese, a plate of fresh fruit and a nice bottle of the Stoller 2009 Pinot and a full set of "matching" Stoller Pinot Wine Glasses to enjoy your purchases.||We explored the local wine country and after, we came back to the Estate House we sprawled out in the stuffed arm chairs, fluffy couch and relaxed, told stories, talked about our day and laughed way too hard.
