I don’t really want to write a good review. They deserve it, but if I tell everyone how nice it is, there won’t be availability when I return! Ever just wanted to be in the middle of no where to enjoy peace and quiet but not really be without creature comforts of home? Bowers Farm is the place to go. Let me begin by saying you can be away from creature comforting you really want. However, they have two sites where you can hook up power and water. The two sites share a pile so you are close but we didn’t hear our polemate at all. Well, we spoke when we arrived and then he went inside to cool and we left for the South Carolina football game. He quietly left this morning. Our noisy neighbor was the rooster! How can you escape to the “country” and not have roosters??? We actually had cool neighbors if geese and chickens in addition to the rogue rooster! The host house is next to hook up spots but other than intentionally meeting them, we never hear them. The property is very quiet. It is about 8 miles from I26 so no road noise. They are off a very quiet road and have lots of property so truly tranquil. It has numerous animals who are very well behaved (only the rooster made noise and he is beautiful and social and hilarious when he runs… I guess he doesn’t like his picture taken!) They are making a fruit orchard so plenty of trees. There is a public boat ramp not too many miles away. There are beautiful homes scattered along the many backroads. You feel like you stepped back in time when life was simple. We all enjoyed it. While I hate to spread the word, they deserve it and you deserve to know about this cool place. If you do want hook ups, log onto their website!

We stopped at Bowers Farm for an overnight stay to break up our trip north to our camping destination in North Carolina. We booked the night through Harvest Host, which was easy to do and they were very responsive. Through Harvest Host, one night is free, we did paid a little extra to have water and electric hook ups, what a perk! The farm is a working farm with a range of livestock. We placed our meat order ahead of time and it was delivered right to our door, amazing! Our first breakfast on our camping trip we had to try the bacon…INCREDIBLE! We’ll be back for more!

We visited Bowers Farm for the Newberry Art + Ag Tour and had a lovely time despite the rain. The property itself is beautiful. It was wonderful to see the wide variety of livestock living at the farm: cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, pigs, horses, and more. While we visited for the art + ag tour, I can see why this is such a well reviewed AirBnB location. Both my husband and I commented on how peaceful it is. We would love to return!

Both my kids have done farm camp and Bowers Farm. They have absolutely loved every minute of it and are come home learning all sorts of new things to share with us. Farmer Sarah and Branden are so great with kids and you can tell they love sharing their passion for farming with others! We also board our dog Obi with them when we go on vacation. Obi is so well taken care of and Sarah sends lots of photos and videos so we get to see all the fun things he is doing in...
