Lake Sunapee — Attraction in Newbury

They have gorgeous homes all around the lake, multiple beaches, a quaint Harbor with restaurants boat launches, a country store, and boats that will take you for a full tour of the lake. I've been going there since I was small in the mid-1970s. It is still very family friendly with clean water and beaches, probably because most people go to Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam, and the seacoast for action and adventure. It's much safer for canoeing and kayaking than the larger lakes, and Sunapee has lifeguards at the public areas and Parks & Rec or Fish & Game to ensure it remains fun...
