My husband and I got married last February at Wild Sugar Homestead. We were originally set for a July wedding date but when we found out we'd be 8 months pregnant on our intended wedding date, Erik and Hallie kindly accommodated a switch of dates!
Here are my top reasons why I'm SO glad we got married at Wild Sugar:
It's an absolute oasis for family time and connection with nature. Every day we hiked and cross country skied on the gorgeous trails around the house, then came in to warm up by the fire. There were constant kitchen projects churning out drinks and snacks so our two families could be comfortable and cozy together.
Erik managed our day-of coordination and Hallie took our photos. They made everything run so smoothly for us so we could totally relax and enjoy. They also had many great recommendations for musicians, chefs and more! It was so easy and seamless working with them.
We could bring our DOGS! We had four dogs staying with us at WSH and it made the weekend feel so special. WSH is an equally great playground for dogs as for humans.
It was well priced. Weddings can be a time when you spend an arm and a leg making things special. We felt that Erik and Hallie have created a venue that feels once in a lifetime without charging once in a lifetime prices. They also have a pay-it-forward wedding closet where you can borrow linens, glasses, plates, etc to make a table setting of your choice without having to purchase everything and dispose of it soon after. Genius!
We are so, so happy with our choice to get married at Wild Sugar and have been back for family photos since! Highly recommend the most beautiful place and the...
Read moreIt was a joy planning a wedding at Wild Sugar Homestead last August for my CT couple! As a out of state wedding planner Erik and Hallie were incredibly gracious with all my pre-questions and meetings. They were extremely knowledgeable of their venue and the local area, assisting my team with all of our needs.
The venue itself is quite a gem. It's quite rare to have find one location that has a house to accommodate lodging for a 16 person wedding party, plus parking, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception space. The ease of having everything in one location was a dream.
Erik and Hallie, the venue owners are incredibly kind and easy going. They are always willing to make something happen, or lend a hand to make things go as smooth as possible. We loved working with them and seeing all the beautiful elements they have incorporated into their space. I highly recommend booking here, if you love nature and want to get married in the middle of the beautiful Vermont outdoor landscape!

I was lucky enough to officiate a wedding here one August, as well as stay on the property with my family. (Plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably!) The owners are an amazing, down to earth, accommodating couple who truly know how to take care of their guests. Picturesque does not even begin to describe the property's landscape and views. The house itself is cozy, charming, quirky, what more do you want?!?!?!?!?!?!?
