We took our 2 Cocker Spaniels (leashed as requested) on April 7th and for early Maine spring trail was in very good condition. The Old Farm Road leads to side trails that bring you to sandy beaches on the Damariscotta River. Very cool views and you really get to experience Maineβs Coastal rivers. We trampled up the road from the shore thru some nice stands of White Pine and spotted several vernal pools that are hopefully getting poised to team with wildlife if winter ever breaks its hold. Note: it was in mid 50βs day of our hike and next day a storm dropped a couple of inches of wet snow. Gotta love April in...
