Really tired of trying to take my dogs to the dog park and someone has their big , over the limit sized dog on the small dog size. Because they have a nice "temperament. "
No.
You can't explain to my small dog that she shouldn't be afraid be the dog that is 5x her size has a "nice temperament. " And then, when I decided we couldn't stay, I didn't say a word and this lady starts degrading me, calling me a Karen bc I am leaving. Without saying word. Until she did. I still kept my temper but i explained to her that the rules aren't based on "temperament " for a reason and the second field is there, also for a reason. I was about to put Lauren and the dogs in the car and go back out there and show her what kind of a "temperament " I get when someone talks to me that way. I will legally change my name to Karen and make an honest f'n human out of someone who disrespects me in front of my kid. This is the 3rd time in a row we've had to leave bc someone has dogs over the size limit on the small dog side and I'm about tired of it. So I need to know who to call. You want a Karen? I will give...
Read moreFirst dog park I’ve ever took waylon to. The grounds were nice but muddy tho after a storm last night. Met some nice people with their dogs. I was nervous being there because I didn’t know how my dog would interact with other dogs or vis-à-vis but waylon did good for the most part. He’s only really socialized with our kitten and my sons dogs at his house on their land. I want him to be accepting of other dogs and people. He goes where I go pretty much. I was a little skittish with the watering holes there because I didn’t want him picking up something from the other dogs so we avoided that but I brought my own water for him and he received that before the car ride back home. I was however impressed that they had a playground for kids. It was a very nice playground to which my grandkids enjoyed with their mother while waylon and I ran off some of his husky energy. All in all it was a...
Read moreGreat park to take your puppy or dog. The park is separated into sections for small dogs or large dogs. There is plenty of room for your dog to run or socialize. There are also baby pools and water available if your dog needs to cool down. Tip before you go: everytime i have went, no dogs have been on leashes though the rules state otherwise. I havent seen any dog fights (the dogs roam freely and generally get along) however, avoid this area durimg crowded times if your dog or puppy is socially anxious or just do not like other dogs. Our dog has done great so far, so no complaints here. I would one hundred percent say go to this dog park for some social interaction...
