I am going to do my best to be fair, as it is not the fault of the trail or those who care for it that we've had some rainy weather, and the trail was super muddy and had puddles the size of small lakes throughout.... That being said... The location is beautiful. It is a super peaceful and quiet trail. Unfortunately I didn't see much wildlife with the exception of a few birds and a squirrel. The trail is maintained pretty well, however I was disappointed to see empty beer cans littered about. It's a trail I will take again, after we've had a few more sunny and dry days. Read moreThe section my GPS brought me to, was completely overgrown and inaccessible! On my way back south on 239, I did see some parking areas that looked as though there might be some reasonable trails to access. I did not stop to explore, but will come back to see if Waze just took me to a bad location. At that point I will re-access my review and hopefully give the park a better rating. While this trip was very disappointing, I'm holding out hope for a better experience next time. I must admit however the towns along the way were quite rustic and charming.
