Cedar River Weddings & Events — Attraction in Newport

Cedar River is an absolutely AMAZING wedding venue!! My son and his bride were married there last week and it was truly an unforgettable experience!!

Nestled in the woods and overlooking Priest River, it was a GORGEOUS backdrop for a BEAUTIFUL and intimate wedding ceremony and reception!!

They were able to tailor the event to their tastes and Jeremiah, the venue host, wedding coordinator, and professional photographer, was onsite the whole day to lend a hand and help direct the festivities and he was sure to capture each moment with his camera as the day unfolded. (Can't wait to see all the photos!) 😊

It is very evident by the care and upkeep of the grounds, that this is a labor of love on the part of the owners - Each building, sign, pathway and feature has been intentionally crafted by hand to create a memorable experience for those visiting and it sounds like more and more upgrades are being made all the time!

A wonderful time was had by all thanks to the personal attention given to every last detail! I highly recommend Cedar River for anybody looking for an exceptional and relaxing outdoor venue for a wedding/reception, vow renewal ceremony, anniversary party, company retreat, family reunion, etc.

We are so happy we made the decision to have our wedding at Cedar River. From the moment we spoke with Jeremiah and Shaunna, they took care of us. They made us feel welcome and made the entire experience so much easier from start to finish.

Jeremiah did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos, which were included with our wedding package. Seriously, such an amazing deal. Jeremiah is just a blast to work with, and he makes you feel comfortable. He even stepped in to help for his wife, who usually does all the coordinating for the wedding day. He does a great job working the room, and kept all the guests entertained.

The venue itself is so perfectly planned out, it makes for such a beautiful wedding. Our ceremony took place in a grassy area, that overlooks a wooded area that has a large clearing to see the running river. We got married early August at Cedar River. Finding this venue was fate for us. Trying to describe it and not go into immense detail on the whys and hows is actually harder than it seems. We wanted a small, low key wedding. Not a lot of decorations, waste, clean up, or all the trappings and trimmings. Jeremiah and Shaunna, the owners of the venue, have created an breathtaking space suited for just that. I knew the moment I drove down the driveway the first time, this is where "it" was going to be. They have really captured the natural beauty of the area. The grooms cabin and small odds and ends they have added seem to meld with the landscape. Their personalities and phenomenal photography only added to the venue as well. I guess the best way to put it is: The chaos that is always unavoidable with weddings and events did not feel like chaos but instead perfection.
