Newport City Park — Attraction in Newport

this place really needs a full upgrade. it is a good place for kids to burn some energy but with its location and space available it could be 100% better. if you want trees then go to the mountains, people want a safe place to bike ride, roller skate, picnic with friends and family. you have to rent the picnic areas that our taxes paid to build or you will get run off, Whether they are already rented out or not, so they sit abandoned. a huge ball field we can't even use for family/friend/neighborhood softball, kickball etc.. games so again it's unused most...

Dirtiest park I have ever seen. People tossing cigarettes into play areas where babies and toddlers crawl, grab things, and put them in their mouths. Disgusting and dangerous.

Tennessee law (T.C.A. § 39-17-1551) gives municipalities authority to ban smoking in public parks, playgrounds, and greenways where children are present. The city could ban cigarettes near the play equipment, yet refuses.

Nice park for families and kids. Large trees, shade, paved walking trail (0.4mi loop), pavilions, grills, playgrounds, tennis/basketball courts, baseball fields, and bathrooms. 9-hole Disc Golf easy level course anyone can enjoy. Teeboxes are concrete, but too small. For Hole 1, park in back of pool lot while hole 9 ends on opposite side of park (it is linear, not a loop).
