Rustic River Wedding & Venue — Attraction in Newport

My daughter’s wedding was held at Rustic River Event Venue last month, and I feel called to let others know about our positive experience at this amazing and unique wedding venue. First, the place itself is magical. The huge, rustic old barn is the magnificent centerpiece, but the grounds also includes so many other breathtaking spots for ceremonies and photos, as well as places for food preparation and storage, reception, dancing, for the wedding party to get ready, a bar area, etc. that it provides great flexibility. There is the natural scenery of green forests and the peaceful Pend Oreille river for backdrops, and multiple other buildings, a pergola, and lovely landscaping. Second, the huge number of items available to use is such a benefit. They really had everything, so we didn’t need to purchase or rent – tables, chairs, décor, tablecloths, runners, lighting, signage, catering supplies, platters, an enormous fire pit for bonfires, and other decorations and amenities, etc. which allowed us to personalize the event and stick within budget. Third, the option to have so many guests come, not just for the ceremony and reception, but for the rehearsal/dinner the night before, and also to stay and camp (tent or RV) after, so there was no rush to leave but instead the perfect opportunity to linger and thoroughly enjoy the experience. It was just what my daughter wanted, which was an entire weekend surrounded by all her favorite people. Finally, the owner/operator Rache’ is an absolute delight. Our family recently celebrated my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary at Rustic River Wedding and Venue, and it was an absolutely magical experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking scenery - the lush forests, serene river, and majestic mountains created a perfect backdrop for this special day.

Rache and the venue staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making this celebration memorable. Their flexibility in allowing us to bring our own catering and alcohol, while providing a licensed bartender, helped us personalize the event to our tastes and budget.

The spacious grounds allowed our large family to spread out comfortably, with plenty of room for dining, dancing, and mingling. The children in our group particularly enjoyed exploring the beautiful outdoor areas. The weather was quite warm on this day, and Rache did an amazing job of providing fans, misters, and advice about how to best beat the heat.

Overall, Rustic River Wedding and Venue provided the perfect setting for our family's milestone celebration. I got married at this venue in August 2019! From the moment I toured it I knew there was no other place I could get married but here. There is literally everything you need all in one place. My family from out of town had plenty of room to stay, people hooked up their trailers and stayed with views of the beautiful river. We got married in one of the outside ceremony locations and had our reception in the barn which is absolutely stunning, followed by our dances on the open yet covered dance floor. This place is rustic, gorgeous and the most accommodating place you will find to get married at. Rache is one of the most delightful people I’ve ever met and was there for us for whatever we needed. She has so many resources and suggestions, not to forget her wide variety of decorations to use there that are kept on site!
