Camino Real Ranch — Attraction in Niederwald

As soon as we got engaged everyone asked when the wedding was, so my husband and I visited seven venues in the Austin area.

While other venue's asked about catering and floral, the Camino Real Ranch women asked, "why are you having a wedding?" This question allowed us to stop and remember why we wanted to celebrate with family and friends. That first conversation guided our wedding planning process. We are so thankful for a venue who did not just expect us to check the boxes.

The ranch is 25 minutes South of Austin and a pretty straight drive. Do you have guests traveling for your wedding? That quick drive past flat pastures and longhorn ranches reminds you that you're in Texas.

The venue is spacious and gorgeous. No need for complicated space flips or cramming people in when you can spread out wedding events through the hut, greenhouse, and yard. We had dinner outside, ceremony and reception in the greenhouse, the hut was a welcome area. I'd highly recommend setting the fire pit: we found a lot of guests socializing around the flames with s'mores.

Camino Real Ranch also has furniture available at no additional cost, which saved us a ton of money on tables and chairs. The farmhouse tables are gorgeous and there is no need for linens. (In a previous life I planned events and there is nothing as frustrating as being nickel and dimed over renting tablecloths!)

Jenn and Nicole are wedding veterans who were easy to work with and communicate clearly. When my mom got sick before the event, I rented her a golf cart so that she could have autonomy and get around the venue. Jenn and Nicole were flexible and worked directly with the vendor to support drop off/pick up. (P.S. the venue might feel like it's "out there," but an ambulance can get there in 15 minutes -- something the team looked into for my family.)

I will not miss wedding planning, but I will miss working with the Camino Real Ranch team. We love what they are building and can't wait to see...

This venue is absolutely to die for. We chose to have our wedding here because of all of the amazing items that are included in your rental time but also because of the additional rentals that you can add on, in house. It made planning for rentals SO much easier because then we didn’t have to worry about pick up or drop off of anything! The venue is gorgeous - we loved how there were two suites to get ready in for each side of the wedding party and that there are multiple different spaces on the property that guests could hang out and have fun in. They do their alcohol services in house which was ANOTHER fantastic benefit so that we didn’t have to hunt down alcohol and bartenders and cups and all that! Krysta is so fun to work with - she plans well, problem solves with you, and is so passionate about creating the best possible environment on the property as possible. I knew this was a great venue when I would tell my vendors this was where we were getting married and they would be EXCITED! When vendors ALSO love the venue, you know they’re doing something right! They even had a golf cart to accommodate for a few of our family members with mobility issues. The Greenhouse can get a little warm but they're incredibly up front about that - but it had fans and AC and wasn't that bad at all. The aesthetic was gorgeous, the planning was simple, the team was fun and supportive, and everything was absolutely perfect. Loved this venue...

Our wedding at Camino in November 2023 was an absolute dream come true, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we discovered the venue online we knew it was the one. Then actually seeing it in person just solidified that fact. Every detail exceeded our expectations. Having dedicated spaces for each party to get ready in, on the premises, added a level of convenience and ease to our day.

The renovated greenhouse for our party – I mean, reception lol – was a highlight. The twinkle lights in the greenhouse created a magical ambiance, turning our wedding into something of a fairytale. In our opinion, at least. One of the standout features for us was the pond, which served as the perfect setting for a quick and intimate ceremony. Oh, and the wall of windows in the greenhouse looking out towards the pond! The natural beauty of the surroundings added an extra layer of charm to our big day.

Overall, Camino proved to be the perfect choice for our wedding. We give it a 10/10, highly recommend! The communication before, after, and during was on point. The add-ons available were nice. Having all furniture included is more than we could ask for and made things quite easy. All of this ensured that our wedding day was truly unforgettable.
