This church has passionate, caring people who love God, and want to see His will carried out. Unfortunately, my wife and I very carefully assessed this church and it isn't for us. While there are some very friendly people there, every one of them swiftly looked past me, and gravitated toward my wife when welcoming her to the church, rather than speaking to both of us. I had felt very separated from feeling welcome when this continually took place. They shook both of our hands, but their members were definitely looking to her and speaking in the singular sense, rather than both of us. She noticed it as well, and thoroughly explained to me how this really offended her.
However, what bothered us even more, was the style of worship. Whenever the congregation is told to raise their hands up or perform other actions if you are a believer in God, or have specific feelings in your heart, this creates a dictated environment that puts us in an uncomfortable position. We gave our hearts to God a long time ago, and we were at Life Church for all of the right reasons, but we do not have to behave in a specific way, or raise our hands up to acknowledge our faith. This puts unnecessary attention toward people that don't need to continually admit aloud during church that they love God. Obviously, if you want to, that's one thing. The Lords house is a place of worship, but no one should be made to feel awkward or viewed as someone who is going the other direction if you don't raise your hands up. The phrase, "If this is you, raise your hands up." is not healthy verbiage to use during church in our eyes. Not everyone is going to do that, and dictated environments in very small churches are not what we are looking for. We need more than just a place of worship, we need a family that is going to accept us both equally, and help us to feel comfortable when in...
Read moreReview of Life Church: I have been attending Life Church since 2020, this is when most churches shut their doors on their members and thought it would be a good idea to just do church virtually. I can confidently say it has transformed my spiritual journey in profound ways. This church embodies what it means to be a biblically sound community, and every service is a testament to the truth and love found in Scripture.
The expository teachings are nothing short of exceptional. Each sermon is carefully crafted, diving deep into the Word and bringing forth insights that challenge and inspire. The pastoral staff, led by Pastor Nathan & Pastor Micah, they truly have a gift for communicating God’s truth with clarity and passion. Their commitment to teaching the Bible in context ensures that we not only hear the Word but understand its application in our daily lives.
There’s a boldness in proclaiming the truth that resonates deeply with the congregation. It's evident that the leadership is filled with the Holy Spirit and genuinely loves The Father, which creates an environment where faith can flourish.
In a world that often feels chaotic and uncertain, Life Church stands as a beacon of hope and truth. If you’re looking for a place that prioritizes God’s Word, fosters a vibrant community, and encourages a deeper relationship with Christ, I wholeheartedly recommend LC. It has been a blessing to be part of such a vibrant and faithful community, and I look forward to what God has in store for us...
Read moreWas made to feel unwelcome by several members of this church was only greeted by one member the first time I ever attended attended many times after that to see what it was all about and it is just like their other location in Fishers they are twisting the scriptures adding in their own opinions to the Bible and literally are not reaching out to non-believers in any way which is the number one thing Christians are supposed to do they are not doing anything at all to reach the community or any non-believers the first time I was there the pastor walked up to me looked at me and stared at me for about 5 to 10 seconds and then walked away did not even introduce himself which is a complete contradiction to how Christians are supposed to behave maybe he doesn't know how a Christian is supposed to behave it seems as though he does not read the Bible all the way through he acts more like a politician which he actually is then a Christian again I do not know how this church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God they are not preaching...
