This terrible "park" is in an affluent and newer area but it's a GROSS disappointment. Parking lots and driving lanes were poorly designed, poorly labeled, and fields are hard to locate. There's no map or easily visible signage that tells visitors where Field 6 us located. Traffic lanes are a mess as there are no clear markings so 1 car can literally block hundreds of cars. Gridlock or near collisions are a NORM. A mix of giant SUVs and golf carts, many frustrated and rushed drivers, teen drivers, young kids crossing traffic, 2 way traffic squeezing through gates and dirt lots....all squeezing in & out for sports practices and tournaments. The bathrooms are dingy & gross. I truly dread this headache of a place. Except for a few turf fields, I see most fields are poorly maintained. There are many fields, I haven't seen the ones by the "small dogs" park up close. We have dealt with mostly the far back fields which are mosquito breeding grounds and mud pits. I've seen at least 2 cars stuck in the muck during the winter and their wheels just keep spinning and they're trapped. I've attended tournaments and police were called because of an impossible gridlock. There's only ONE entrance & exit point so it's very dangerous. The 2 new fields at the entrance are in nice condition but there's no shade & parking fills up quickly. This unsafe park is used by many sports groups and I'm shocked it's in such poor shape and there aren't weekly accidents. This is NOT a nice place for parties nor picnics. Avoid it if you can UNLESS it's empty and you wanna use the dog parks or kick the ball a bit in the very FRONT fields. It's either too hot, too old, too dirty, too dangerous w rushing cars, or you're gonna get endless bug bites. Pick your poison. I wish fewer teams had to settle for this terrible place as a practice venue. Veterans Park or Patton Park....almost any park I've seen is better suited. Davis just has a lot of fields and is convenient for Nocatee & PVB folks...but...

Davis Park is hands down one of the best community parks around! Whether you're looking to relax, play, or just enjoy a peaceful walk, this place has it all. The grounds are always clean and well-maintained, and there's a real sense of safety and community here.
The playground is perfect for kids, with plenty of space to run and explore. Shaded picnic areas make it easy to spend the whole day, and the walking paths are great for all ages. We’ve hosted family get-togethers here and every time it’s been a hit.
What really sets Davis Park apart is the atmosphere—it’s quiet, welcoming, and feels like a true escape in the middle of town. A huge thank you to the staff and city for keeping this park so beautiful and accessible. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and anyone just needing a break...

What a beautiful location and layout, so why 2 🌟? Our granddaughter had an 8u softball game and the fields were not laid out with lines, no pitches circle and no batters box. Umpires were sooo one sided plus they didn't understand all the rules. This is not sour grapes because we lost a s we won 14 to 9 just an honest opinion of the conditions the kids had to play at. Also no concession stand open makes everything...
