State Game Lands 56 — Attraction in Nockamixon Township

Not too crowded the past two years on opening day of the deer season. However, have all of your ducks in a row because this place is watched big time by the game warden. He stops EVERYONE!!!! And no matter how much you follow the rules he still has something smart to say. Even going as far as trying to embarrass me in-front of my daughter and step-son..... Well he tried anyway. Little did he know I had a smart mouth myself!

1st two hours of shooting were good then it died...

this is not a hiking trail. Please be careful during hunting season - these are game lands for hunting so there will be hunters. There really should be some signage warning hikers to beware during certain months - p.s. do not let your pets off...

Beautiful park, but holy hell. If you are hunting here, be prepared to work, alll of the bucks are bedded deep in the interior forest where thick fines and throny bushes lay. Otherwise...
