Last year was our first time visiting when I was just a few months pregnant and we had such a good time. It was me and my husband, my little sister with her boyfriend and my mom and step-dad. We took a lot of pictures at the cute setups they had spread around, and we did the corn maze and had so much fun. We also took the tractor ride/tour, which was interesting. We ended up all buying pumpkins to carve, too. Overall, it was a great time with great memories. I was excited to visit again this year with my daughter as it was her first pumpkin patch, but our trip was quickly soured at the admission booth. I appreciate the support for our troops and giving a military discount, but it doesn't make much sense to not support your veterans. Which they clearly do not as no discount is offered. When my mother asked if they offer a discount for veterans, because she is one, the man at the booth stated, "No, only those been shot at." Whatever the hell that means. My husband is a navy veteran who has seen deployments while my mom is a retired veteran. To assume that veterans haven't been shot at is pretty ignorant. They made their sacrifices for this country just as our active members currently do. Anyways. I'm disappointed and we won't be returning in the future, unfortunately. We'll find somewhere that supports all their troops, old and new.
The woman, who I assume is Mary Jahn, was extremely nice and kind to us, though, and told us we could move pumpkins around to take pictures of my baby...

I ain't gonna let it get to me, I'm just gonna creep, Down in Pumpkin Hill I gots to find my lost piece. I know that it's here, I can sense it in my feet, The great Emerald's power allows me to feel. I can't see a thing but it's around somewhere, I'm gonna hold my head 'cause I have no fear. This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory, A ghost tried to approach me and got leery. Ask him a question and he vanished in a second, I'm walkin' through valleys cryin' pumpkin in the alley. Didn't seem happy but they sure tried to get me, Had to back 'em up with the fist, metal crack 'em. I'm hearing someone saying you a chicken, don't be scared! It had to be the wind, 'cause nobody wasn't there. I searched and I searched as I climbed up the wall, And then I started to fly, I went in deeper!

Read moreWe paid $70 for our group to roam around someone's land for around 1 hour. The highlight was being able to feed the animals.. for which im sure you paid extra for feed, luckily nice folks gave us their left overs on their way out. We didn't get any free pumpkins included in the price and each pumpkin was priced on the owner eyeballing the size. We ended up paying $20 extra just to take home 3 very small pumpkins to carve. If you're okay paying $10 per person just to walk around someone's land and take a couple photos of your family then by all means. If you want to go to a pumpkin patcb for pumpkins, this isn't the place unless you have lots of money to spend on randomly priced pumpkins! Might as well...
