Lake Gaston — Attraction in Norlina

We used to own a home here, and we recently rented a home for a family and friend vacation. Really great place to get away. It's definitely worth renting a boat while you're visiting. This lake straddles the North Carolina and Virginia border, and it is about 35 miles long east to west. We love Hubquarter Creek on the southwestern side near the Eaton Ferry Bridge. I love Lake Gaston! Beautiful, vast water with plenty to do and lots of quality fishing to be had. Watch out for shallow spots (worth buying a map) but have a great day on the water, visit the various marinas, even stop and get a bite to eat. When the water starts flowing from the dam, fish come alive and the lake shifts, which is pretty cool to experience. I plan on fishing...

Absolutely amazing and most beautiful lake that I have ever been. I got an opportunity to see such a beautiful morning sunrise landscape just took my breath away. One of our awesome friends took us here for a fishing oh man that was one of the best moment and first time ever caught 10.5 pounds blue catfish. I can't wait to go back to lake...
