Possibly the best park in Norman! Incredibly inclusive (disability access and inclusion) playground with many unique toys to play with. The restrooms are usually open, satisfactorily clean, and usable. There is a large covered picnic area with 5+ picnic tables available. This park has great proximity to food and drink places just a mile South and will get very busy during peak hours!

If this GPS takes you to the walking trails (no playground), turn out of that parking lot to the left (west) until the next stop; then, turn left again (south). You will see the park with the playground in less than 1 mile. The GPS taking me to the walking trails instead of the playground has been a common problem on my commutes. The trails are accessible from the playground park if you want to do both but not...

I've been going out to this park since 1980 I've mountain bike I've done everything out there have a beautiful time just last weekend then about four and a half hours after I ride my mountain bike leaving took me a little nap in the park I like some of the improvements they've made but not all of them I wish you was more natural or left more natural instead of putting in walkway through 5 feet wide kind of ruined the mountain bike experience but it's okay for walkers just means I have to work a little harder when I go mountain bike off road 2 foot high grass lots of trees and just comes with the territory for mountain bikers beautiful place awesome Birds makes you feel nature for all that is...

Sutton Wilderness Trail Park is a beautiful place. A few years ago, I was in the area and had some time to kill so I decided to go to a park. I had never heard of this park and didn't know anything about it. I was surprised when I started walking around because it is so beautiful. In most of the areas of the park, there is a canopy of trees covering everything. When I was there a few months ago I saw that they had been doing work on the park, possibly changing or expanding the lake area. Because of this, it looked terrible since it was cleared out land with red dirt everywhere. It was apparent that this was a work in progress and I'm interested to see what it...

We went for a short hike today with our dogs. While the loop is only a 1.3 mile walk we turned it into a nice 2.3 "hike" by exploring almost every side trail we crossed. We even had an elevation of 53 feet! I know we did some climbing! It was a great way to let the dogs run off some steam as we are "those" people who let their dogs run off leash until they meet up with other people on the trail. I'd give it a 5 star rating but trail is not marked and so it is easy to kinda not always know if you're actually on the trail or not.

One and one third miles all the way around. Beautiful tree covered path. Some paved some pea gravel. Beautiful fishing pond in middle. Alternate paths for different scenery. Path leading to park on Rock creek and paths leading to dog park and soccer fields. Benches for resting throughout. No lights. Gets dark quick and there are wild animals in the wildernes that come out after dark. Educational signs about local animals and plants. Great place to exercise or have a picnic or go fishing with friends and family.
