Historic Valley Park — Attraction in North Adams

A terrific place to bring the children with a lage play area and easy access to swimming. They also put in an 18 "hole" frisbee golf course that's very challenging from the longer White and Blue throwing spots, but the Red "Tees" aren't too bad and most people use those... Benches everywhere, Picnic Tables with permanently raised Hibachi's, a large pavilion for parties if reserved or you can just use portions of it if no one has reserved it (which is usually the case during the week), well kept Rest Rooms, plenty of free parking, huge area of well kept free space to do whatever you choose. Beautiful lake, our site was right on the lake with hookups for water and electric and room for a small rv, bigger rv sites with hookups for sewer were available away from the lakefront but this spot was perfect for us with a view we loved and close to the private beach. The bathroom facilities are beautiful, clean and looks newly renovated. The manager, Kara, is super friendly and took great care of us. The lake and surrounding area are beautiful but if you are looking for peace and quiet, do NOT camp here. While I expect noise at these types of campgrounds, the level of noise we experienced last night was unacceptable. Music blasting till after 11pm for their event at the pavilion. Teenagers screaming for hours. People driving around on their golf cart also blasting music. Absurd. The sites are not well spaced as previous reviews mentioned. We will not...
