this is one of our favorite local trail networks, wending through field and woods, over bridges, past a little pond and revolutionary war-era cemetery. the perimeter trail is a nicely maintained, well-marked loop just over a mile and a half, with rocks and roots, a few ups and downs but mostly flat. i'm recovering from orthopedic surgery and have had no trouble navigating any of the trails in this little park. there have been no ticks and few bugs (unusual for this time of year, but it's been pretty dry lately). leashed dogs are welcome; byo poop bags. there's more bird and wildlife activity here than you'll find over at Rachel Carson, as the trail is far less trafficked and leads deeper into the woods. my bullies absolutely love it here --pretty sure it's their favorite snuffle shuffle, and i truly love the peace and solitude of this beautiful place. it's not too far off the beaten path, but when you're out here, it sure...

Beautiful local trail with a little bit of everything to offer. The outer loop hugs close to the boundary most of the way, with a rolling hills of hay farms to the north and the Negutaquet River at the southern side. This loop goes through a variety of different and diverse forests; from oak and maple to hemlock and birch with some sections of white pine and poplar. Some of the older trees are enormous for this area of New England. The southern end has a historic graveyard and multiple trails extend to a loop at the center which goes through a couple acres of field at the center of the southern part of...

These trails are a treasure; very well maintained and labeled. Parking lot has been redone and is now even more accessible and user friendly. New signage and information about the history of the river and land is lovely. Only complaint is dog owners; had several negative encounters with dogs not leashed: been jumped on and scratched badly and almost bit...

Great loop. Did this today and it's got one large perimeter road trail that takes you around the Conservation land. This was about 2.3 miles and was a pleasant surprise that this was well maintained. Only picked up one piece of trash on the whole walk. Great for families and anyone looking to get out for a walk in the woods.
