We were there on a weekday and it was really quiet in the tent loop (but busy on the RV loop). Really beautiful views of the lake and the bathrooms, while dated, were very clean with plenty of hot water in the showers. Note that a lot of the sites in the tent loop have a significant grade but we lucked out in campsite #13 which had a flat spot next to the picnic table. Definitely recommend!

I stayed 3 nights at the campground 🏕️ Very peaceful and quiet. Sit and read a book. Build a campfire. 🔥 Set up a hammock. Grills♨️ and pits are provided. Well manicured waterfront RV sites. Boat ramp🚤. Community building. Picnic shelters with water. Fishing 🎣 pier.

The loop with sites 1-8 wasn't great, very slopy and some didn't even look like you could park or put up a tent it was so steep. But nice views, bathroom close by. Other loops maybe better but I didn't look.

Gate was never locked . Anyone could come and go as they pleased. Not secure as outlined on their website . Metal gate was where you could never lock it. Stayed at Kerr Lake many times and this is the worst campground I have ever seen. Bathhouse had sign that closed for cleaning and it stayed closed all day and the campground was full. No host at the campground in rules said call them for emergencies . No state park ranager coming around to make sure everyone checked in right spot , number of people , enforce rules, etc. There were at least five campsites that had 8 or more people and 3 or more cars . Neighbors loud all day and night . Small campsites directly facing your neighbors so they saw your every move . No trash cans to put trash in for pickup just lids . Very unlevel sites and not as pictured . Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This campground is...

The views are great and Kerr Lake is very nice, the fishing was decent, swimming was great and it was dog friendly. There are some issues though. The restrooms/showers are very old and in disrepair. The tent sites are very small and some are on a slope with sharp rocks. Our site (21) had what looks to be an old boat ramp maybe? It made the water access very slippery and dangerous, we had 2 bad falls on it. The campground can be quite loud after quiet hours, the boats and campers play loud music until late into the night with no management dealing with it. Your tent is only about 10 feet from your neighbors tent, so you will hear them all night if they are loud. Overall, if you can get past the noise at night, it's a nice campground and you will have...

We drove 2.5 hours to get there .the rv campsites looked really nice .we were tent camping . It was a hill ..... I didn't even want to drive my car on the campsite - and it was supposed to rain that night - I was thinking we might wake up in the lake ! Lake looked nice - but I just couldn't stay on that site - not like you can level out your tent ..so we went back home and I decided that I well not be going back to kerr lake - there are a lot of other lakes that actually think about their tent campers feelings and give them decent sites to stay on . I was really sad . I really look forward to camping out ! P.S. ‐- site #22 doesn't look anything like the picture on the website - it's...
