This place is absolutely AMAZING. We stopped here on the way home to Atlanta from Washington DC for a place to stretch our legs that wasn’t a truck stop. Walking through the garden up to the entrance of the gallery offers a taste of what’s to be discovered inside. Gorgeous hand blown glass and metalwork can be seen peeping from all the plants. Inside, you are required to wear a mask and one of the limited badges available, allowing them to control the capacity of visitors inside. Each room of the gallery has different handmade goodies. You are sure to find something beautiful to take home. We had a difficult time limiting ourselves to the items we did walk away with. The art and crafts found at Cedar Creek are not the only gems you will find here, the people are amazing as well. My 3 year old godson left behind a plastic bracelet from his Wendy’s kids meal and they were sweet enough to mail it back to us! Their kindness was just what we needed. Please take the time to stop in and experience this place for yourself. You...
Read moreI'd seen the highway signs for a few years and finally decided to make a trip to check this place out. It really is a hidden gem. Fabulous pieces of craftsmanship from all over can be found with special emphasis on NC artists. Prices are very steep in my opinion but I don't frequent pottery galleries. A museum can be found inside with amazing historical items, and the overall building has a unique layout. The grounds around the gallery are filled with lots of flora as well as blown glass art including most items for purchase as well. They could use more signs around the property to direct and invite visitors around the property. I felt like I was roaming blindly at times. I'm not sure if the building beyond the gallery is open to the public for observing glass blowing but the paths and artwork suggested it could be. I definitely recommend a visit if you're...
Read moreCustomer Celebration Weekend happening now is another one of Cedar Creek Gallery's well planned and enjoyed events. There were plenty of smiling staff to assist guests with questions anywhere on the property from overflow parking as you drive in (though many cars choose to park on the street at the entrance), to food/beverage provided, check-out, raffle, etc. There is always a nice variety of hand-made products by well recognized artists in blown glass, pottery, jewelry, woven products, unique yard art, plants to purchase, gorgeous wood items, soap, candles, even hand knit socks! History Tours are available at various times, and tents/tables are provided for eating yummies from the food truck, chilling with a beverage, and listening to live music in their rustic wooded setting. Yes, I even managed to start my Holiday shopping in July. ...
