My family and I love this park! It’s our go-to when the kids need to burn some energy and we don’t want to go far! It’s a beautiful, well kept, and clean park! It’s perfect for families. There’s tons of open grass space for running, flying kites, and passing a football! The sand pits for volleyball are multi-use in the sense that my girls can dig in the sand when they aren’t in use for volleyball. The playground equipment is great for everyone! There are many age appropriate levels of equipment for all ages. Some parts of the equipment have wide ramps and walking paths to allow older folks or disabled folks to access the equipment! There’s also a swing that is specially designed for use with a wheelchair....

But over the years, the play equipment has been deteriorating from.rust corrosion.
Buckets for the standing swings have broken loose and dropped to the ground.
Chain monkey bars have rusted through and broken off.
The mesh flooring on the platforms has rusted completely through in places exposing jagged, rusty metal.
Rock holds on the rock wall are broken off.
The chains of the swings are very rusty.
The city does little to keep it up. Parts of the equipment are dangerous now.
Sadly the entire playground platform is constructed of standard steel. An oversight by the city or possibly an overly ambitious sales person for the company.

Few places like this exist where I grew up . Soccer fields , baseball diamonds , cages , playground , picnic area for gathering and celebrations , snack stand , indoor plumbing bathrooms etc etc all in an incredibly safe environment . No matter the sport or age , strongly recommend getting involved and being part of this great community...
