Easily one of the best beaches in the US. This is a spectacular stretch if beach! Technically 12 miles or so long it stretches from Ocracoke inlet to Hatteras inlet. I'm talking about the part close to the town of Ocracoke just passed the airstrip. I've seen whales twice and dolphin pretty much every time I go. There is a well kept changing/bath room and outdoor showers. The boardwalk to the beach features a wheelchair friendly overlook too.

Field trip with school from mainland Beaufort co. to ocracoke for the day. Rode early am ferry over. Great seafood for the adults and pizza for the basketball players at Jason’s restaurant then lifeguard beach for the afternoon w everyone enjoying 72’f+sun w a southerly beach breeze, in January! Awesome day to be on the island! Go Eagles!!!

Love walking along the beach here, miles and miles of undisturbed dunes, turtle nesting area. Small area for swimming with lifeguards in season. Road access for surf fishing a little further south on the beach

Absolutely gorgeous beach, probably won't find anything like it to be honest. If you're on Okracoke Island this beach is a MUST see. In some news articles it has even beat out the most pristine beaches in Hawaii and I saw why. It's beautiful. Definitely stop by and check out the waves too, the water was like bath water. YOU HAVE TO GO IF YOU'RE ON THE ISLAND, DON'T PASS...

This is the only beach with a lifeguard on the island. It’s a beautiful stretch of beach, less secluded than other areas but the fact that it has showers and a clean bathroom is awesome. Also, the day we went the lifeguard was TV hunk smoking hot, so that was an added bonus that didn’t hurt to sweeten an already pretty perfect deal. Great fun for anyone who...
