Beautiful, large, spacious park. Located near a nursing home facility. Everything you could ask for in an outdoor play area. Large kids playground, 6 pickleball courts, baseball, basketball, Frisbee golf. Bathrooms and benches as well. Plenty of parking areas. Very nice and tucked back in the trees. Loved playing pickleball with a great group of locals.

Best park in the Wilmington area! There's a playground, baseball field, tennis courts, basketball, disc golf course (18 holes) and football / soccer fields. There are also two bathroom facilities. Considering how many things there are to do here, there are rarely many people here. The disc golf course is the best in Wilmington area.

Playground has a large play structure designed for multiple ages, plus there are swings, bathrooms, and a picnic shelter nearby. Little free library near the playground too!

Soccer tournament recently, so I can only speak to that. Hundreds of kids from ages 8-16 including cars and parents. No way this place has the parking facilities to host this kind of event, for one thing. DIY parking everywhere. Single restroom facility for thousands of people; single men's toilet and urinal and sink, and the urinal was out of order. Women's room was worse ... Soccer fields are surround closely by chain-link fence (?) with barely two yards of space between fence and sidelines, making it very tight for parents and fans. The two full-size soccer fields are old football fields which is a problem because the slope (for drainage) is way off for soccer. It really shouldn't be more than 1-2% but it's much more than that. From one sideline, looking at a player in the corner on the other side, most of their leg up to the shin is hidden by the slope! Porta-potties (because of the afore mentioned lack of facilities) right behind the goal on one field (outside the chainlink fence), so any photos you take of your kids on that side of the field have those in view, which is not ideal. I'm really surprised that a multi-state tourney was hosted here. One could potentially have weekend local league games here, and the small fields are better suited for that, but this is not a welcoming, comfortable locale for lager, out of town sports gatherings.

Note: the RV on the second day taking up six car parking spaces? Thanks for your...

We recently moved to Rocky Point from Wilmington, and I was looking for a playground to take my daughter to. This one in Castle Hayne came up in my Google search so we checked it out. It's brand new, and the play structure is fairly large. It has slides for both toddlers and older children, plus merry go round and swings. My two year old loves it! She goes down all the slides so there's a lot for her to do. There are picnic tables, benches, and bathrooms, plus trees for shade. They recently planted grass, and because it hasn't fully grown in yet it can get a little muddy if it's just rained. The playground itself is surrounded by mulch so mud isn't a problem around the play area. This has become our...

Was only there for the Soccer Tournament! Not a lot of parking for the Tournament Soccer games. Parking spaces they do have are really small. Especially when the RV that was there took several of the parking spots from regular vehicles. Not to mention they had their dogs with them that obviously weren’t people friendly barking at the door as people had to walk by all there chairs and items along the area. Saw several adults getting thrown out of games for their behavior towards the referee. Not good or enough bathrooms for the amount of...
