Wish that there could be a bit more advertisment of upcoming events, even though the turnout would be greater.(May 2025)*Since COVID hit in 2020 I was not able to make it to the gathering at that time, yet I did make it for the 2021year. Just to let most people who are not aware of when Petty Day is, it is on Memorial day weekend, the same weekend as the Charlotte race. It starts at 9am and ends around 2pm, so Mr. Petty and Kyle can get back to Charlotte Speedway in time for the race. Same great atmosphere, and a lot of people there with lots of vehicles too. Not all parts of the shop were open for safety reasons in 2021, but it was good to be outside and meet Mr. Petty and his son Kyle once more and even got a picture with them. Maybe in the future Petty Day activities a few race simulators could be brought out to add just a little bit more of a race day feel. #43 Even though it was a Saturday, the 30th of March 2019, and could not see the whole facility like you could on a weekday, it was an privilege to tour Mr. Petty's collection and history from 1949 to the present day. All the staff who were here this day were very helpful, and nice to talk with. Also, there is a small price to pay, but it is worth it to preserve this kind of history.

P.S.: The photo is from my visit on a Monday after the 30th of March to Mr. Petty's shop, who was not at all hesitate to talk to anyone if he...

Really cool museum! I drove from Kentucky to visit the museum on a Friday morning. There weren't a lot of people visiting the museum the day I was there, so I was pretty free to look around. The museum has a lot of really nice items related to Richard and Kyle Petty's racing careers. I wish they would have had the actual Mello Yello and Peak cars that Kyle drove back in the 80's, but they may still be owned by SABCO, I don't know. They have a couple of cars that Kyle drove, such as the Citgo car he won with back in 1987. I didn't get to meet Mr. Petty or Kyle, as they were in Bristol the morning I visited. The gift shop has a lot of items that you can purchase that have been personally signed by Richard Petty or Kyle. I bought an autographed copy of Kyle's new book. The museum staff is very friendly and welcoming to visitors. I highly recommend visiting the museum if you are a race fan! I will probably go back again if I am ever...

Such a great place and family. Met him during such an emotional time doing home hospice. his character and personality was healing.. I've grown up loving and collecting him and his family stuff several years. when I met Richard he was so humble such a great personality and quick-witted I was having him sign a cereal box commemorative of when Terry Labonte broke his record for consecutive starts. he looked at me and said "you want me to sign a cereal box of when someone broke one of my records". I started to stutter he got a big smile and chuckled and said " I got you." ~ laughing. such a humble and great man and family if you ever met any of them you will love them. I have had the privilege of meeting him three times now. hoping to make it four this weekend.. all you have to do is Google their foundations and you'll see what great people they are. much love for the whole family and...

I would have given a 5 Star review if it weren't for the fact that I was spoken to rudely as if the money I were to spend/had spent already wasn't good enough. When my daughter went to ask if Mr Richard Petty could sign her baby book at least, it was said to me, 'People paid really good money to be here!!'..In some ways that said to me that it was all about the money..😪😪😞😞 I will not forget how we felt with those words..We really felt offended, this was spoken to me very snidely in front of my near 6 year old..Now, honestly, how is she supposed to react?!? She was very saddened by this, as we walked away she was crying, I had to explain to her, that maybe next time it would be different..😞😞😪😪..that kind of behavior in front of a child to me was/is unacceptable..the rest of the PettyFest Event we enjoyed..thank you for time.. -Amanda Fontaine (Enclosed is a picture so we don't get lost)

Really a great awesome place if you enjoy Motorsports and also I didn't know Richard Petty had a awesome gun collection Top notch if you enjoy Winchester's and colts must see we stopped on a Thursday evening just expected to tour the museum I had heard rumors that Richard his self was on the premises which sometimes he does during the weekday and lo and behold right before we left he appeared in the main part of the museum was very awesome Can't say I was a real Richard Petty fan all these years but after talking to him just a few minutes I was hooked for life really an awesome dude very genuine even spent about 10 minutes talking to my dad about some older racing He's a real class act I guess that's why they call him the king he truly is the king of NASCAR and definitely the fans highly recommend stopping and viewing and you never know you could run into the king yourself
