I recently celebrated my birthday at the Shallotte River Swamp Park with my family, and it was an experience we'll cherish forever. We embarked on a thrilling journey through the park's offerings, and it turned out to be an unforgettable adventure that brought us closer as a family.

Our first adventure was the Adventure park, which provided us with an exciting challenge amidst the beautiful natural surroundings. Scaling obstacles and navigating through the treetops was a unique bonding experience for our family. Employees, Scott and Chris were incredibly helpful, guiding us through the course and ensuring our safety throughout the adventure. Their patience and encouragement made the experience even more enjoyable.

The next adventure at the park was the zip lining course, and it was an absolute blast. The adrenaline rush combined with the breathtaking views of the swamp made for an exhilarating experience. What made it even more special was the assistance we received from the fantastic employees, Jack and Mary. Their expertise and friendliness put us at ease, making the zip lining adventure not only thrilling but also safe and enjoyable for all of us. The following day, we returned to the park for the ATV tour, and it was an absolute blast. Exploring the wilderness on the ATVs was an adrenaline-pumping experience, and it offered a different perspective of the park's natural beauty. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Shallotte River Swamp Park; it's an opportunity you don't want to miss.

My partner set up a zipline outing for my birthday, and while fearful and hesitant at first, we left wishing we could do it all over again. Chris and Jack were our guides for the experience and we couldn’t have asked for a better duo. They were very lighthearted, funny, informative, and very patient as we got adjusted to the heights for the first time, and got over our fears. We also appreciated their thoroughness in guiding us through the safety rules and regulations to ensure we had a smooth, fun, but safe experience.

When going through the different ziplines, we felt that the patience, comfort and confidence they provided throughout the process made us let go of our fear and really take in what nature had to offer. What was also great was spending time learning a multitude of things along the way. Every time we got a chance to stop at the next checkpoint we learned a fun fact about nature and about their experiences with animals that would appear during a lot of the zip lining tours. The whole process also made us feel quite safe - We had our harness, the zipline trolley/break, and two additional lines with clips for safety. We never touched our lines, and let Chris and Jack control those for safety reasons and guide us through the experience.

Part of our package also included photos, and Jack led the front with taking them. He captured tons of moments in those photos, and also some of the funny conversations and encounters with nature we had along the way.

To anyone who is scared of heights, or hesitant to try this experience, I HIGHLY recommend trying this out, and asking for Chris and Jack. They made the zipline tour memorable, and we were left with quite a lot of stories to tell about the whole journey. I would give this experience, and the whole park 100 stars if possible.

Our group was staying at a resort on Ocean Isle Beach for the week and we were all looking for something to do. We stumbled upon the Swamp Park and saw that they offered a zip lining tour. Some of the members of our group had gone before and really enjoyed it so we called to get more information and book it. When we called, Kylie answered the phone and was very helpful and ensured us all that the staff is well trained in what they do. She was absolutely 100% correct. The staff is amazing. When we arrived to check in we were greeted and welcomed with a warm smile. We then waited a short while for our tour to start and then meet our tour guides, Leo and Reagan. Right from the beginning they were amazing. They immediately initiated conservation and made us all feel so welcomed and cared for. We shared some laughs and quick stories as we all got suited up and ready to go. They guided us to the training line where they went over all the important information we needed to know for the tour. They were both extremely encouraging constantly giving us positive feedback when learning how to brake and enter the platforms. We headed up the first tower to the first line of our tour and one of our group members began feeling anxious, and having doubts. Leo was able to comfort her and encourage her enough to get her across. From then on Leo kept encouraging her and letting her know how proud he was of her for making it across. Reagan and Leo were above and beyond what we could have hoped for. We had great conversations they made our group feel so comfortable and shared some good laughs with us all. If you are ever in or near the Ocean Isle Beach area I highly recommend taking a trip to swamp park. Their entire staff is wonderful!
