Town Creek District Park — Attraction in North Carolina

A dog park? Not hardly. Very small areas. A few puny trees. This area is very warm and has strong sun. A great place to take your dog for a case of heat prostration. The bench for people sits in the sun, no other option. I can't imagine taking a dog there except in the winter. Our dog checked out the spindly trees, took a walk around the fence to see what was what and said, "let's go, my backyard is wayyyyy better than this!"

Well planned park. The 4 stars may not be a direct refection on the oark itself. When it first oepend after the remodel families brought their children and their bikes/scooters. This was the one place in Leland where it was safe for beginning ridera to safely practice. However, like all other parks in Brunswick Co, (aside from the Nature Park which is not suitable for training wheel, scooters and beginning ridera bikes) they nixed all bikes and scooters from Town Creek, and deemed it a walking trail only park. Mcdonald's (where I work), Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Piggly Wiggly, Go Gas, two different dollar stores, a thrift store, pharmacy, gym and seafood restaurant. Just about anything to suit your needs and interests located conveniently in one centralized doing center. It's right in the "heart" of Leland (though the Walmart area is quickly taking over that moniker) and less than a 3 minutes drive from my residence.
