The park is still closed 8 months later after Helene. I saw no debris or down trees. Also the parking lot is free from hazards. I understand the flooding was historic and was worse then the 1916 flood. However at this point I believe the county is lacking the vision of returning to a post-Helene. There is no reason this park should not reopen...

Great spot to stop and enjoy the river and walk. Picnic tables, grills, and shady places for chairs and blankets. There are no bathrooms here, so plan accordingly. Off to the right, there is a small walking trail that leads to a slower moving part...

Super awesome tiny little park that sits directly on the French Broad River located about 7 miles from Marshall. Great access point for kayaks, sups or just a peaceful picnic meet up area. Or all...

Nobody out and about today as it’s raining and chilly. Nice spot and I would have rated a 5 but someone let their dog use the grounds and they didn’t pick up after them. Watch where you step.
