Overall had a fantastic time and loved the visit here. 100% would visit again.
Location: nestled in the countryside by local farms, and easy to find with the signs posted in multiple locations. Gravel parking lot will be visible approaching the spot.
Parking: plenty of parking in a large gravel parking lot.
How to do: everything you need to get started is in the large white shed right next to the parking lot. The shed housed merchandise, sink to wash hands, and the instructions on how to start along with the jars/buckets and plant snippers. They rely on the trust system, pick either a mason jar or large bucket (prices in pics as of 2024) and get the snippers for the plant and your free to enjoy!
Outside: go when it's nice outside as everything is located outdoors. Multiple plots of land have rows of flowers with their names posted on signs. Enjoy picking flowers at your leisure! Explore as they have a lot of flowers to pick from! Also outside is a play ship for kids and porta potty.
Time spent: Spent about 1-1.5 hours there.
Who is this for? Everyone! If you like picking flowers it can be a fun activity for kids and adults. If you bring kids they can play on the play ship though depending on age they may or may not have the attention span for spending an hour or two there.
The whole system is the trust system which they have a QR code for digital payments and locked box for cash.
You can either pick flowers for yourself or an event and have fun...
ย ย ย Read moreI highly enjoyed my time at Royal Oaks Farm! Liz was so helpful and gave us clear instructions. I was on a Lancaster bus trip and it was our last stop. What stood out was how beautiful and colorful it was. There was a wide variety of flowers, herbs etc and they were clearly labeled. I loved having the opportunity to walk around to pick and create a beautiful jar of flowers to take home, you could also choose a larger bucket if you needed more. I highly recommend this experience. There was a coffee trailer the day we were there. It was a busy place but you can easily spread out and didn't feel crowded to me. There was a white kitten that was super friendly that hung out to make friends. It was a place that I could definitely see myself bring back a group of friends or family for a fun experience. There is a porta potty there if needed. Thank...
