This place is a little out of whichever way you're going on highway 83 but WORTH THE DRIVE! Not only is the scenery beautiful but it's FREE! And you get a free tour! I never realized how many different fish there are. The best part about this is it's all about conservation!
Our tour guide was a German volunteer! Please visit this place and ALL fish hatcheries EVERY WHERE along any trips you take! It is amazing to see how hard the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service works with volunteers to preserve, protect and breed endangered fish!

They absolutely love the rock painting activity they have going on now and love seeing all the fish. The staff/volunteers are always amazing which makes the experience more enjoyable. They greeted you as you came in and explained that you could take a scheduled guided tour or a self-guided tour through out the facility.
