Grand Treasure Casino — Attraction in North Dakota

I was absolutely thrilled with this casino. Bear in mind, it wasn't looking like much from the outside, as they are building a new building on the adjacent lot....but once inside the lights and bells and whistles are just as enticing as some of the other more outwardly appealing casinos I've been to. I thought their players club drawings were fantastic (I won at least 3 drawings of 200 bux in cash) and they have a special day for everyone. On ladies day, you get 10$ free play just for walking in the door. Same with men's day, senior's day and veterans day. Their promotions are wonderful....and they even give you free play for "recruiting". One of the best things about this casino, believe it or not, is the food. Every single item on their menu is scrumptious.....but the steak strip basket with fries is unbelievable....portion size is more than I can eat, and that is saying alot. The steak dinner is off the charts.....I can't even put into words how it melts in your mouth. It was a welcome surprise, since at first glance it would seem like they'd serve fast food..... It WAS fast, but not like any chain you've ever been to. Their security is unparalelled even by the biggest casinos..... on several occasions I've seen people physically removed from the place.... If you're a wanted criminal you might as well head down the road, coz the Bad Boys, Bad Boys gonna come...

Not the worst casino I've ever been to. Lots of free parking, good handicap access.

One major downside is the air handlers are not very good. I.e., heavy odor of cigarette smoke. Yes, smoking is allowed and ash trays are provided at each machine.

Which leads to the second negative. There are no table games, e.g., blackjack, roulette, poker &c

There is a cafe serving various hot sandwiches, e.g., a very tasty Philly Cheese Steak, burgers etc, french fries or onion rings.

Beers are ordered at a station across from the food order area. Free fountain drinks are in a third location.

Unlike Vegas, they do not serve free alcohol drinks while gambling.

Oh, I almost forgot; when you sign up for your card, they give you a $10.00 credit. Plus, they have specials for seniors and Veterans on various days where $10.00 is added to your card.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The casino and restrooms are clean and well kept in spite of cigarette...

I revisited this casino after it's migration to the new building and it has earned it another star! The new building is beautiful and even though they still do not have separate smoking and non-smoking gaming sections they do have a very nice ventilation system. This casino is Class 2 Gaming, which means Bingo machines with slot reels "for entertainment purposes" and Keno. There are no video poker machines or card tables. Now there's nothing necessarily wrong with Bingo slots it's just that they are slower and you can often see if you have won before the reels stop, which can ruin the suspense. Aside from the gaming, they have free coffee and fountain soda plus good food for purchase. The dining area is larger than it was in the old building, a huge improvement and there is no smoking in the dining area. The player's club staff are very friendly and welcome all players. This place is worth a quick stop if you are passing through or live...
