Have been going to the gardens for years. There about every 5 years or so. Was disappointed in what I saw. Being an avid gardener with about on half acre under cultivation with a good size koi pond, I know a good garden when I see it and one that is on the downside. While the show is the roses and dalias which are yery nice all I saw in the perennial and Japanese garden was neglect. The perennial garden is a jumble of overgrown plants with no attention to placement or color. The Japanese gardens which have historically been interesting have been reduced to a collection of trees. Nothing interesting was going on at the garden floor. The koi were colorful and healthy. The water was begging for more filtration. Roses worth the trip but maybe not the price. I hope the give the other parts of the garden a good overhaul - then it would...

We come here once a year. Unfortunately this year was not a good shot. Due to the heat they trimmed all the roses back so basically you only got a chance to see a few plants in bloom which was such a shame. The good thing, the grounds are beautiful so even if you don't see much in the way roses there's adequate park benches in there that you can sit down and just kind of survey the gardens the gardens themselves are also very nice. It's another place that's a good venue for weddings. When you go to the gardens you can also leave your car there for a while walk across the street and view the ocean. There are some benches that you can sit in and view they need more they used to have more and some of them I think have gotten damage from storms and such. It's a very nice area to go for a...

Been here a few times. Extremely disappointed. Yes, it’s very hot out but you folks need to have gardeners on to water in the heat. Everything was wilting and the soil extremely crumbly and dry. You are not giving enough love to these beautiful gardens. We were in and out in a few minutes. The gal selling us the tickets told us “nobody waters on Sundays.” “The Director comes in on Sunday to say hello but doesn’t water.” “We don’t use irrigation”. Perhaps it would be best to close on days where it’s unattended or put up a sign saying the gardens are struggling. The tickets aren’t cheap. Huge difference between last year and this year. Everything looked dead besides the greenhouse full of old cactuses. No color or vibrancy. Even the potted plants were completely wilted. Very sad to see...

It was my first time at Fuller Gardens and I was amazed by how well it was landscaped. There were so many beautiful flowers there between the roses that were on there way out of season and the Dahlia Display that was in its prime time of the season there was alot of different colors to see. I enjoyed seeing all of the different artwork, statues, and fountains throughout the property. One of my favorite parts was the massive Greenhouse that had so many different indoor, desert, tropical plants of all different sizes growing inside of it. Some of the plants in there must have been growing there for a long time. There is also a Japanese garden that is a really relaxing area to take a rest on one of the benches while watching the koi fish swimaround in the pond.

What a beautiful place. More variations of roses than I have ever seen in one place. A tree that was quit a surprise to see. You'll have to visit to see what it is, but I will say you've probably never seen one on the east coast, and it's native to the USA. And a wonderful Japanese garden. You will spend about an hour or so there and then take a scenic drive down Ocean Ave along the water and grab a mid afternoon lunch. We went N/B. S/B in season, you may find very busy and congested, but the area (I think it was Northampton) is nicer than the Jersey Shore or Ocean Beach. Not necessarily the beach itself but the attractions. At least I thought so.
