It was a beautiful and fun day. We went to their fall fair. They had so many vendors showcasing their work. Hand crafted beauties. Many fun activities for the younger children. Exhibits such as birds of prey which included 2 awesome owls! So much to learn about these bird species. Saw hundreds of bees doing what they do. Spectacular exhibit. So interesting. Along with the bee exhibit, of course you had the local honey for sale. Had to buy. Yum! Farm yard animals which are alway fun to watch. They were very well taken care of. A flower 🌸 garden as well. The food trucks (what’s a fair with out munchies)!! And let me not forget the awesome band. Really great music. And a lovely gentleman on the keyboard raising money for the disabled veterans. A wonderful cause!! The enormous acreage of the park was incredible. Plenty of picnic tables to say the least. Old farm houses. And let me say the security for this event was incredible. the forces were out protecting the visitors and keeping the fair safe. I can see why because the turnout was beyond many, many visitors. The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful. Striking sun but not scorching like our summer turned out. I had a great afternoon and look forward to next year and simply visiting the park on any given day. Thank you everyone for a...

I live a mile away and though I travel frequently I happened to be home for both. The History is interesting rare Pitch Pine forest nearby. This was the go too swimming hole to socialize and learn to swim. I always wanted to go as a child but my dad used his head to clear up our property and we ended up with our own 8 acre lake now Quinnipiac. How my brain worked as a child lol. Wharton Brook is great for family picnics, easy to find and usually clean. I take the Grandkids to feed the squirrels. Across the road is Tolles Crossing, would love to ghost hunt sometime. Many large train wrecks sad to say. There was 2 trains in 1800’s that collided head on, coming from resorts in both directions. That stretch is spooky. Plus Native Americans lived and hunted here. I love all Parks and enjoyed Yellowstone Nov. 2021. That’s the Park to see Wildlife. But a cup of Joe and American Pie radio...
