Beautiful grassy fields with lots of picnic tables. Was quiet on a Monday in June, but probably busier in summer. Beach was OK - small and near the road which was a little noisy, but the road was out of sight. Beach had lots of natural debris (leaves, sticks, gravel) so it didn't feel very well kept, but perhaps they are still doing spring clean up. No trash in sight! Nature trail was short and flat...good with littles. Bathrooms were primitive but clean. It's pack in pack out. Good spot for a picnic, splash, BBQ, lawn game, or short walk...
Read moreThe trees at this state park are incredible. Huge, majestic, breathtaking. When I saw them, I found myself thinking about all the history they witnessed and wisdom they held (and I'm not some "new age" goof -- that's just how incredible these trees are).
