Beautiful grassy fields with lots of picnic tables. Was quiet on a Monday in June, but probably busier in summer. Beach was OK - small and near the road which was a little noisy, but the road was out of sight. Beach had lots of natural debris (leaves, sticks, gravel) so it didn't feel very well kept, but perhaps they are still doing spring clean up. No trash in sight! Nature trail was short and flat...good with littles. Bathrooms were primitive but clean. It's pack in pack out. Good spot for a picnic, splash, BBQ, lawn game, or short walk...

The trees at this state park are incredible. Huge, majestic, breathtaking. When I saw them, I found myself thinking about all the history they witnessed and wisdom they held (and I'm not some "new age" goof -- that's just how incredible these trees are).

I tried to take some photos, but the trees are so large that they defy being captured on a photo. (I did get a few).

Too see them requires a shorty, flat, easy walk on the trail that goes around the perimeter of the...

Not sure why some reviews are mentioning restaurants for a state park.

My wife and I took a quick 1 mike walk here and it was very enjoyable. They also have a swimming area (no lifeguards), RV area, multiple picnic areas with metal grills (bring your own charcoal), and a performance area for live music. No frills but sometimes...

Found this little spot just by happenstance. Pull in and the staff is super friendly, cost $10 for two of us to get in. The park is just beautiful. It’s well maintained. With some barbecue pits, a tiny but nice beach. Just a great spot. You can also rent boats there if that’s something you want to do. Bathrooms are clean as well.
