Nice place to take a walk, or a jog, or a hike through the woods on the two trails. I suppose it's a good local fishing lake as I see plenty of people fishing there every day.
They have ample parking at two handicapped accessible lots.
Dog walking is allowed and they even provide bags for pick up.
There are plenty of trash cans throughout the park.
Once you are bored with just walking around the lake, I highly recommend the Bow and Arrow hiking trails. I would call these intermediate trails; they are only perhaps a quarter mile in length, but there are inclines that can be steep for beginners, elderly, or small children. I have come across deer on just about half of my hikes through the woods which always makes it more exciting.
To access the trails, make a right at the sign before the covered bridge and head straight up towards the woods and you'll see an opening in the trees. There will be a short section before the trail spits you right out again where you cross a wooden walking bridge.
Many people think that's where the trail ends, but you actually make a left after the skinny wood bridge and you'll see the "true" entrance to the Bow trail. This will take you deeper into the woods to a fork and let you access the steeper Arrow trail about halfway through if you desire.
There are cool wooden bridges to cross and even some benches to take a break if needed right there in the woods.
Both trails exit the woods at the same spot near the Brokers lane parking lot where you can get right back on the paved path around...
Read moreIndian Lake is always clean and beautiful. It has a half mile inner track, an upper track on one side. There are many play and workout areas as well as a gazebo, covered bridge, and large pavilion with bathrooms. The restrooms are always clean. This picnic area is occasionally rented for parties but there are a few other tables around the park and lots of open space to lay a blanket if wanted a true on the ground picnic. The area is regularly devoted for holiday. Halloween has a walk n treat around the lake. Christmas has lights and decorations. Find the two lions as you walk. This has been a great fishing area for my son and any locals fishing around are usually happy to give pointers to young ones getting their feel for it There are always dogs and groups of people walking dogs. Above the upper track there seems to be an unpaved upper upper grass area. Plus lots of side open space for dogs. One of the play ground areas have a climbing area with fun...
Read moreI love this park! It's super close to where I live and it's a cute park to walk around. There are tons of fishing spots, two playground areas, a main walking trail, a more difficult/longer trail, and a few hiking trails too. I love going to this park because there are so many turtles! I wish they allowed dogs but I understand why they don't. I am also sad that they are building a lot of houses right around it. It has a lot of...
