Wondering why they are resticting my right to fish. Pennsylvania fish and boat has instituted YEAR ROUND FISHING even in trout stocked waters or any public waters that are part of that program and states that I can fish these waters only not harvest the target species (trout) till opening day. So why do they have signs up saying that there is NO FISHING TILL OPENING DAY. It would be different if it said no trout fishing which would still be against the new standards for the boat and Fish Commission 4 year-round fishing; but it simply says no fishing until opening day as per the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission which I find kind of funny because the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission website says that I can even during stocking time so long as I don't harvest. So they're making their own guidelines and putting AS PER the Fish and Boat Commission name on it yet the Fish and Boat Commission says otherwise. This is a PUBLIC PARK. PUBLIC WATER. Trout stocked waters SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW; and the law says I can fish it, yet their signs say otherwise. Law trumps policy so I'll be out there whether they're signs are up or not. Because when I try to call the number so I can ask someone about this; they won't pick up their phones. It's bad enough that people have to pay for the right to fish as some people do so as a means of feeding their families. Other states recognize this such as Texas you don't need a fishing license. But I'll be damned if I pay for year-round fishing for a public water to tell me...

Overall a nice place for a walk, jog or just to sit and relax. Personally I think this park could use a dog park/run near the the barn there's a beautiful tree covered area with benches and could be fenced and is separated with it's own parking which living near this park I see this area rarely used, why not let our furry friends who live in the city have a place/ park in Lebanon county for them to run and enjoy socializing off leash like they are intended.

Due to irresponsible and sometimes dangerous owners I believe the best option is a membership dog park fee and registration of dogs required which also would help fund park improvements such as stopping the paths from flooding when it rains etc. There is PLENTY of unutilized space at this park. I know I would pay a flat family fee and registration for my 4 dogs to have access since we don't have a yard living in town and driving to Lancaster or York is a haul with 4 dogs!

And of course I'd be first in line to volunteer to help build, find others to donate/volunteer as well if this ever becomes an...

It'd would be incredibly nice if we could have some trash cans rather than some fake near scare propaganda. Y'all are so cheap!

*recently updated my rating here. This park needs some better property management. Mad kudos to the groundskeeper on maintaining the beauty of the park. Where this park needs the adjustment is trash. It's ridiculous how much garbage is at this park. Fisherman, families on picnics, runners, people walking, or dog waste and THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH TRASH CANS THROUGHOUT THIS PARK. THEY ARE NOT EMPTIED OFTEN AT ALL AND LEGIT SMELL LIKE ANIMAL WASTE. I've seen people drive right up to the can near the barn, exit their car, and remove several bags of garbage from their trunks into the garbage can.

I'm here every day walking the dogs. Great trails, large enough even for all the distancing stuff. This park is never empty except on...

Nice area. Not too big and not too small. I was there on a school trip. We studied ecology and planted some trees. There's wildlife there too, like geese, turtles, and frogs. I saw people there fishing, walking, and even running along the trail that encircles the lake. There is a boat launching area. The nature barn wasn't anything special, at least not while I was there. They have lots of parking. Bathrooms were all transportable, except for the one in the nature barn, but that one did not rely on running water. It was basically an indoor outhouse. Bring bug spray and make sure to take your allergy pills! Be ready to enjoy nature.

One of my favorite places in Lebanon. So peaceful, such a good place to unwind & reconnect w/ nature without having to go very far if you're in the city. I could talk about how much I love this place all day, but I'll keep it short, lol. Great park any time of year, but especially once it gets warmer; the wildlife is lovely, family fishing is made so easy with many dedicated spots to fish with some picnic tables to set up and eat etc, and you can camp here too! Oh, and golden hour at Stoever's is magical. β™‘
