The product prices are very low compared to any other retailer, without sacrificing quality. But, that's about the only thing Bill's has going for it. The man behind the deli counter was rude and unprofessional which could easily be seen by the way he treated customers and other staff, some of who were obviously new or at least needed help which was met with annoyance in his tone, an eye roll, and general displeasure. The cashier decided she needed to be fast, which normally would be a good thing, but not when you're throwing fragile produce into bags, leading to the bags ripping and our berries being stacked in a way that would ensure them spilling. The prices of the non produce items are just as high, if not higher, than any other retailer. In fact, I'm certain if a budget grocery option such as ALDI opened shop nearby, Bill's would most certainly be out of business, as it should, for both the prices and terrible...
Read moreI have long been a fan of Bill’s for fresh produce at great prices. I have frankly always overlooked the small, crowded and dirty storefront as well as the cash only policy because of the low prices. But today on our first visit since Schuylkill County entered the Green COVID guidelines (which require all persons entering a business to wear a mask), NONE of the employees were wearing masks.
I watched the gal slicing deli meat cough onto it, the guy ringing someone up call across the store to a co-worker, and the man restocking onions call across 2 people to ask a customer not to take the pineapples from that pile.
Every customer was wearing a mask. I was frankly shocked at the utter disdain and disregard given to customers. Not to mention GROSS. You’ve lost a customer for life and I sincerely hope you don’t get anyone who...
Read moreGreat place to shop for produce and Veges. Don't buy any pet food there. I bought 8 cases of canned cat food and 3 cases of dog food, almost $70. When I accidentally dropped the 2 cases of dog food, out of 24 cans 10 exploded. Most disgusting smell and pure black. Instead of taking the smelly cans back I took a video and pictures of them to show them along with the receipt. The young girl was very apologetic but the older lady that I explained it to, couldn't have cared any less. When I looked (this time with my reading glasses) the expiration date was May 2020. 2 YEARS OLD. ALWAYS READ THE DATES BEFORE YOU PURCHASE ANYTHING HERE! Because I CANNOT AFFORD to be out all that money. Instead of refunds, you will only get an eye roll. After being a loyal weekly customer for over 6 years, I might stop in 3 times a year. I live 4...
