This had to be one of the most interesting & educational museums I’ve been to. It is wonderfully designed & has information from all over & different ways of life. I highly recommend coming to see & read on it. They also have beautiful grounds to walk. Plenty of shade for a picnic or even a nap under a tree. Always enjoyed that. Please, go visit.

Great history of the people that settled in the plains across America. There are great artifacts of the people, animals, buildings, and farm equipment. I loved reading up on the stories and seeing their homestead and barn. They really did great wood work and built great furniture. PS the hiking trails around the property are amazing.

The Kauffman Museum is a wonderful museum to visit, some of the original copperplates with which the martyrs mirrors were made were on display there. That was a very sobering and somber exhibition. The old Kröger clock collection was very beautiful and I appreciated them very much.

Anyone visiting this museum located at the Bethel College in Newton Kansas will come away with wonder and awe at what is human history..there is so much to see in a space that is not so large that it becomes overwhelming..but so much is packed into this place it's unbelievable..each corner you turn there is another lesson..some not so pleasant reminding us of what can happen when tyrants rule and then you see the craftsmanship of different cultures and marvel at their talent..I especially enjoyed visiting the Mennonite farmhouse and barn behind the museum..it brought back wonderful memories of my own childhood even though I am not Mennonite..so if you're ever in need of something new to experience I doubt you will be disappointed..don't forget to check out the little paths near the prairie grass patches..the staff was extremely nice ad friendly..the facility super clean..accessible bathrooms..even a little shop with reasonable prices..take your time nd a camera and...

Very Unique Museum with great exhibits. A good 5 hour or so visit should be sufficient to see and read the exhibits. This Museum primarily specializes in Kansas area history and Native American items. But, focus is on the German, Prussian/Russia ,Polish Migration, to the US and in particular, to Kansas of the Mennonite Settlers during the Mid 1800s to present. Also, how Wheat was introduced to America from Europe and Western Euro Asia. A bargain price for only 4 dollars admission to this this hidden gem...

Kauffman Museum is such a fun museum. My 11 year old son loved all the animal exhibits and all the little houses you can walk through and pretend you went back in time. We came with family from Germany and it was interesting to see all the things that came from Germany and are displayed in the museum. And we had to buy a Bison at the gift shop of course! We Floridians loved it and will be back to Kansas and to the...
