🌻A few of our favorites in northern Utah.🌻 Utah’s wild flowers are really showing off right now! Luckily there are several trail options to see them. 📍The Living Room, SLC UT 🥾 2.3 miles, out and back 🏔 977 ft elevation gain, rated moderate 🐕 Dogs allowed on leash 📍Three Falls via Fort Creek, Alpine UT 🥾 4.8 miles, out & back 🏔 859 ft elevation gain, rated moderate 🐕 Dogs allowed on leash 📍City Creek Trail, SLC, UT 🥾 6.5 miles, out & back 🏔 731 ft elevation gain, rated moderate 🐕 Dogs allowed on leash 🚗 Due to limited parking, consider early morning or evening 📍Ensign Peak, SLC, UT 🥾 0.9 miles, out and back 🏔 374 ft elevation gain, rated easy/moderate 🐕 Dogs allowed on leash 📍Wild Rose Trail, North Salt Lake, UT 🥾 2.0 miles, loop 🏔 344 ft elevation gain, rated moderate 🐕 Dogs allowed on leash ↗️ Multi-directional for additional hiking opportunities 📍Avenues Ridge Line & BST Valleyview, SLC, UT 🥾 4.6 miles, loop 🏔 748 ft elevation gain, rated moderate 🐕Dogs allowed on leash ↗️ Multi-directional for additional hiking opportunities *please do not pick the wildflowers so they will return next season and remain for the wildlife that relies on them. Do not walk on the flowers for pictures Several of these trails offer little shade, so bring plently of water and sunscreen ☀️💦 What trail would you add to the list?

This is a nice hike to bring your kids along. There are bike trails and people walking their dogs along this trail. Maps of the trails are placed in various parts of the trail which I found to be really helpful if you need help navigating. There is very limited parking, but I imagine street parking would be okay as well. There is a nice little playground at this park, a mini amphitheater, a large pavilion with two grills, drinking fountains and public restrooms at this park. Once you walk past all that, you'll see a few entryways leading to the trails. They do have trails designated for bikes only, but there are parts of the trail where hikers have to share with bikers. The trail is somewhat rocky so wear your hiking boots. It's a fairly shaded trail in some parts. You can get some nice views of the Great Salt Lake from here and Antelope Island. I would hike this trail again.

Beautiful views and well groomed path for runners or bikers. Definitely a great mountain bike path and very flowy. Trail is tucked deep in a neighborhood and behind a small playground, it’s a gem!!

This is a cute little park in the hills of North Salt Lake. The playground equipment is fun for my kids and the entire park is very clean and we'll kept. There are several picnic tables, some of which are privately tucked up by the hillside. On top of all of this, the park marks the beginning of a trailhead (mt biking and hiking). I love this hike! There are SEVERAL trails, many of which loop so we can pick different directions depending on how long I think my kids want to hike. I've taken these trails multiple times with many kids ranging from ages 0-6 successfully. It has spectacular views and isn't extremely busy. Great...

Great park that is high up on the Wasatch Front bench that provides a great view up north into Davis County.

The only issues with the park are other guests. Unfortunately, much of the trails nearest the park have a lot of dog poop that hasn't been cleaned up. Once you get out farther away from the park it gets cleaner since the traffic is lighter.

This area of trails isn't really a good place for off-leash dog hiking since the traffic volume of people is so high. Additionally, the single track trails are tight so there is not much buffer room between your dogs and other...
