Pymatuning State Park - Tuttle Beach Area — Attraction in North Shenango Township

The beach could use some work... the new climbing and swing area is really nice but that is really it. The beach itself has lower parts than the water line so it was constantly flooded and closed because of it. The volleyball court area was also always flooded... so you really can't play volleyball. Also there is not a direct path between the play area and the sidewalk or beach so you have to walk through tall grass the get to the play area. Also there is a lot of geese poop everywhere so be aware. This beach has a lot of potential but could use some loving. I hope the DCNR will take some of these suggestions to make this beach a better place for the kids to play at and...

We went to the abandoned Tuttle Campground a long time ago to explore it and see what it looked like. We brought a magnet to try and get some trash out of the water too. The campground and nature around is very nice to walk at. It is good to see that they are bringing the campground back into action again. (The picture of my magnet on the Pepsi machine is supposed to be like we pulled it out of the water as a joke). We would like to see what the campground looks like new and improved...

Shallow swimming area has potential if the park can give it some love. Tad dirty. Lots of geese droppings around. Water rather dirty though unsure if that’s because the silt was stirred up from recent rain events. About half the beach was “usable” because the goose hadn’t pooped there or it was covered up by sand. I could tell someone came by to rake in the morning. There is a small...
