Al-Islam Mosque — Attraction in North Smithfield

This Mosque is beautiful and has a great Imam, however, the hostility to children and non Pakistani is dominating. If you are not Pakistani, expect to be constantly harassed. If you bring your children expect to be harassed and yield at. Is this the teaching of Islam? are these the kind of experiences and memories our children suppose to have about their first experiences at the mosque? and we wonder why our teenagers and adults are hanging out in bars during Ramadan instead of being in the Mosque? let us wake up and create a more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. Did the prophet treat kids in the Mosque or otherwise in these harsh manners?

My kids and I are not coming back here anymore! there are other welcoming houses of Allah...

Bismillah irrahman irraheem. I found out about this Masjid during Ramadan of 2022, earlier in April. Ever since my first visit, the brothers at this location were very kind, and welcoming. Now, I come here for salat, remembrance of Allah SWT, and Quran lessons during the week. Subhanallah. This Masjid really is clean, well kept, no matter whom is there when you walk in, they will greet you properly and take good care of you. We were in the area and needed a place to pray we were almost leqving because the masjid was closed. Just by coincidence brother Yaqoub showed up and he opened the doors to us and let's us pray there. This was so kind and Islamic behavior. May ALLAH bless them.
