Devon Point Farm — Attraction in North Stonington

I have been a CSA member at Devon Point Farm for many seasons now. I have tried many other CSA's and none even come close to what Erik and Patti have established. They make sure their products are FRESH and DELICIOUS!

Other CSA's that I have been a member, pick early, then present them on pick up day, with only a few days left before spoiling. Another one that I belonged to actually bagged the veggies for you and you take what you get - no choice. At Devon Point Farm, the products are displayed for you to take whatever is of your choosing... you like lots of small potatoes versus 3 big ones, have at it!!

They also put out an awesome newsletter with updates on the farm throughout the season, notices of any changes or lack of a particular crop due to a storm, cold, rain, etc. They are totally transparent about what is going on, so that people are not surprised once they arrive and a particular crop is not available. The newsletter also has recipes for the veggies of the week, which is helpful for a single guy ; ) . They provide a great learning environment for interns and are always pleasant even after a hard days work... I find it difficult just picking my share of green beans for 15 minutes in 90 degree weather ; )

I would highly recommend this CSA to anyone and I consider Erik, Patti, Lexi, and Julia like family... all the love they put in, comes back out in the form of great veggies, beef, pork, chicken and eggs.

I love this farm! I have been using them for all of my pork and beef for quite some time now and could not be happier. I must say that the bacon is spectacular! (Sorry-had to throw that in there!)

When we first met Patty, she graciously showed my family and I around the entire farm. Patty explained the breed of cattle and pig that she raises along with how she feeds and cares for them. The steer have plenty of open space for which to graze and they even have their own pond to drink from and cool off in!

We toured the vegetable and flower gardens along with the pastures and livestock barns. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure we were fully informed. She cares about what she feeds her family and that showed right from the start. We bought some beef to try and it was some of the best that I have ever eaten! I knew right there that I was in the right place!

Recently, I had the misfortune of getting a flat on my way to the farm to pick up my pork. I called Patty to let her know that i was running a bit late. Her first question was "where are you?" I told her and without hesitation she said, "Ill be right there."

She showed up minutes later with some help and we all proceeded to wrestle the flat off, lower the spare from underneath my truck (which was no small task as the factory instructions were WRONG) and put it all back together.

Patty is simply awesome, and my family and I could not be happier with the...

Devon point farms is what you dream of when you imagine sourcing meat locally- I will never forget driving down the long driveway to the farm and seeing the incredible black calf’s w the brightest and healthiest coat of fur I’ve ever seen on a cow! The meat is incredible, hands down the best I’ve ever had in terms of taste and quality.

Something I didn’t think about until after buying my first half pig was that I had a locker full of meat that I knew was treated right and fed quality feed. Moreover, I knew it was all the same pig (unlike rolling the dice at the grocery store with a different animal every time and even a blend of animals in a ground beef or pork) this occurred to me and made me feel so good knowing what I was getting every time!

Patty is amazing to deal with- fair and honest and willing to take the time to inform or help pick the right meat or cuts. I would highly suggest buying a half or whole pig or cow and seeing what a life changing difference it makes. I ordered the American waddle half pig and it was a level of pork I never knew existed- the marbling and the fat was just different, melt in your mouth is not an exaggeration.

Local farms like this are truly a blessing! I hope you give it a try u promise you...
