North Strabane Township Park — Attraction in North Strabane Township

We stopped down on Labor Day, not sure what to expect, and had a relatively positive experience. The fields were all beautiful, especially the soccer field, and there were plenty of pavilions and playgrounds spaced throughout the park area. Construction on all the equipment felt solid, though there were very few swings and no plain old bars for swinging or pullups. The view was absolutely beautiful.

We were very disappointed in the complete lack of water fountains. After walking an hour we found one water pump that was locked, and a sink in a pavilion that finally allowed us to get some quick hydration. It was rather bizarre. We ended up leaving early because the kids got agitated by this fruitless quest.

For a beautiful sunny labor day there were very few people around, and I wonder if that means there will be even less on your average weekend. You could almost feel like you had the whole park to yourself;...

Wonderful upscale park. It has a concession stand that is often open on the weekends. Tons of PAVED walkways, several play areas appropriate for different age groups. The grounds keepers work hard keeping everything prestine. Has baseball fields, basketball courts, artificial turf football field, which to our amazement is open most days, they have rules posted, but how wonderful to allow people to experience the field! A MUST visit park. Even has an 18 hole frisbee course. Only downside, which many people would not consider downside is there is no 'walk in the woods'....all the walks, at least that I'm aware of is on the paved walkways, so you'll need to go to Peter's lake for that type of walk/hike. North Stabane twp.is under a growing period. Moving from farmland Building large houses in 20 mile commute suburbia. They have installed a beautiful park with a football field shelters for picnics and gatherings and a wonderful frisbee golf course that I utilize often. There are about 20 groundskeepers and maintenance people that take care of the park and do a phenomenal job. Especially on the frisbee golf course because sometimes frisbee golf courses are forgotten they replace the cement pads often and the course is well maintained the police station and Court are also located inside of the Park area so it's very safe.
